How I found my 6.74 acres of farmland online

Here is my process for shopping agricultural land online before doing a drive-by

With this being my fifth real estate transaction, I was no stranger to using Zillow to find available lots and properties. A lot of people will tell you that there are better marketplaces out there for finding available land - I would have to disagree. No site updates as quickly or accurately as Zillow, in my opinion.

Last July, I sat down and opened up my laptop to Zillow in my newly rented apartment nearby in Saratoga Springs. Like most normal people, I shop land in my spare time (jokes).

I knew if I wanted to find vacant land, I would have to probably look outside of the city bounds. I opened up Zillow to the following map (below), applied the lots/land filter, and sat back to see what it spewed out at me.
