If I was to buy land all over again, I would invest in THIS before the deal closes
I got extremely lucky with buying my nearly 7 acres of farmland in 2023. Though it wasn't my first real estate transaction, it was my first time buying raw land. Here's what I'd do this time around.
I thought I knew what I was doing back in 2023 when I put in an offer for my nearly 7 acres of land. I had purchased a home before, so I figured the steps I went through for that transaction would be the same for this. In some regards, that still holds true, but buying raw, undeveloped, or rural land is a whole different beast, and enough time has passed for me to sit down and reflect on the exact steps I would take, in a very particular order, if I was to do this all over again.
Trial by fire is the only way to learn a lot of this nuanced information, which is why I can confidently say I got extremely lucky with my land.
Unfortunately in today’s world, almost anyone will ‘hide information’ from a potential buyer in an effort to unload their land. If someone is selling in the first place, chances are, something has gone on - and I believe I know how to uncover that information before you find yourself in a ‘bad land deal.’
